21 Centrale Partners entered in exclusivity for the sale of its investment in Potel & Chabot to Edrip and AccorHotels. The transaction is expected to close in May 2017 and will represent the last exit of the 21 Centrale Partners III Fund.
In October 2007, 21 Centrale Partners invested in Potel & Chabot with the scope of making the company the undisputed leader in prestige catering and events in France while developing an international activity.
Soon after, the Group had to face a challenging market in Paris. After readjusting swiftly its resources, Potel & Chabot has successfully expanded internationally, with the creation of subsidiaries in Shanghai, Geneva, Sao Paulo and London.
In parallel, the Group has reinforced its venues activity in Paris, opening five new prestigious sites namely Pavillon Dauphine, Hôtel d’Evreux, the Salle des Tirages, Pavillon Seine and Pavillon Vendôme. These efforts formed a base for consistent growth.
Gérard Pluvinet, Chairman of 21 Centrale Partners commented: “Potel & Chabot, member of the Colbert Committee, has become the leader of prestige catering events in France and abroad. We had great pleasure to support the exceptional management team who leads the Group.”
Franck Jeantet, CEO of Potel & Chabot added: “We have benefited from a genuine partner with 21 Centrale Partners and its Chairman Gérard Pluvinet, who have been key in the successful development of Potel & Chabot.”
