21 Investimenti to sell B-Pack Due to Amcor

October 05, 2010

21 Investimenti is pleased to announce the sale of B-Pack Due SpA, the European leader in the production of polypropylene plastic film, to the Australian listed multinational Amcor, the world’s largest packaging producer with a turnover of 12 billion dollars in 2009.

The opportunity to take over a highly specialized company with consolidated technical know-how as well as high growth potential was of strong appeal to Amcor. This decision confirms the quality of the current management team and Amcor is interested in developing B-Pack Due’s activities in specialized applications and Tissue production, a sector which is currently experiencing strong growth.

Over the last four years, 21 Investimenti supported the development plan of B-Pack Due together with the Colines Group of Novara and the management team.

These impressive results, made possible thanks to the industrial know-how of 21 Investimenti, reflect the achievement of an ambitious project aimed at establishing B-Pack Due technology within the up and coming pet food industry and the promising medical sterilization sector, in which the company today enjoys status as undisputed European leader. Furthermore, it marks the implementation of an international development strategy, mainly concentrated in France, the UK and the USA, with further opportunities emerging in the Far East and South America.
