21 Investimenti sells remaining stake in Assicom

April 10, 2017

21 Investimenti invested in Assicom, Italy’s #1 provider of B2B credit collection services and leading player in business information services, in August 2012.

In December 2014, 21 Investimenti sold 80% of its stake in the Italian group to Tecnoinvestimenti, a listed Italian company and one of the main industrial players in the credit information and digital trust market.

Today, the Fund has sold its remaining 10% stake in Assicom alongside the founder to Tecnoinvestimenti.

In partnership with 21 Investimenti, Assicom accelerated growth through a targeted add-on process, thereby extending its product range, broadening its cross selling potential and geographical reach, and generating significant synergies. Since 2012, Assicom completed the following build-ups:

• Acquisition of Creditreform Ticino in 2013, a company based in Switzerland and part of the Creditreform network, one of Europe’s main providers of business information;
• Establishment of JV with SeKundi in 2013, a debt collection network based in Belgium, enabling the company to improve global services for its existing clients and attract new international clients;
• Acquisition of Infonet in 2014, a company based in Italy and active in the real estate business information for the finance and banking sector;
• Acquisition of Datafin in 2015, a company based in Italy and focused on business information services for small enterprises.

The exit to Tecnoinvestimenti has created a leading player in the Italian Credit Information market.
